KTBC’s Weather Tracker 4Runner

Joining its AMT Fleet of Tahoe CNG/iP-DSNG Trucks!

THIS NEW TRUCK IS BASED ON AN ALL-NEW TOYOTA 4RUNNER!

The new “Weather Tracker” 4Runner is based around the QUAD channel LiveU LU800 and is fitted with a roof deck (plus a rear ladder assembly for easy access), LED lighting, POV and PTZ cameras mated to our exclusive DriveLive™ system, and is powered by our industry-crushing hybrid MVP-Power™ system capable of delivering up to 8kW of power!

The operations area is optimized for interior space and has ample editing room, while the rear boasts security window screens, a rear shelf, and a camera lockbox for organizing and securing grip gear.

KTBC-TV aired its first television broadcast on Thursday, November 27, 1952, becoming the first television station in Austin and Central Texas. They reportedly broadcast 53 hours of locally-produced newscasts each week (with nine hours on weekdays, and four hours each on Saturdays and Sundays) — considering the number of hours devoted to news programming, it is no surprise that KTBC is reported to have the largest local newscast output among broadcast television stations in the Austin market! The Weather Tracker will gather NO dust — it will be put to immediate and constant use!

AMT supports most available chassis for conversion for iP/Weather Chaser trucks. If you can secure a sponsorship using a particular chassis, contact your AMT rep for options. From a Toyota 4Runner to a Kia Telluride, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, and Bronco Sport… we’ve done them all!

Of course, our Mid-Size platforms are always available for a little more leg room. Look no further than AMT to upfit your Explorers, Expeditions, Tahoes, and Suburbans.
